How to Have a Successful Fundraiser

How to Have a Successful Fundraiser

Make a list of Relatives, Friends and people to help you sell

  • Good customers are Parents, Grandparents, other relatives, neighbors, friends, teachers, coaches, church members, etc. Possibly you can convince a parent/guardian to take an order form to work. Encourage distant friends and relatives to order online at www.doccfundraising.com.

Start selling immediately to meet your goal

  • Everyone must do their part in order to reach your goal. Be prepared, use a ba1l-point pen to take orders and don’t wait until the last minute to start selling.

Be sure to introduce yourself to your customers

  • Be sure to wear a smile, be polite tell them what you are raising money for, what your goal is and don’t forget to thank your customers.

Explain to customers what you are selling

  • People love David Oreck Candles, but if they are ordering for the first time, tell them a little about the product and don’t forget to tell them the candles are made in America.

Describe the expected delivery date

  • You can expect your DOCC Fundraising products to arrive within two weeks after the end of the Fund-raiser and then will be distributed by you to your customers.

Do not sell door-to-door without adult supervision or after dark

  • Do not ask people that you do not know. Be sure to ask your parent/guardian before calling and/or emailing customers.

Collect money when you make the sale

  • Keep all money in the envelope provided and be sure to turn your order in on time.

Maximize your efforts knowing your sales made a difference

  • Your customers will enjoy a fragrant high quality long burning candle in return for their donation.
  • You will enjoy knowing you made a difference and be rewarded for your sales effort.

It is most important – To Have fun and Learn!
